Plugins (OpenFX)
An effect for DaVinci Resolve. You drag it onto a clip.
Extensions (Workflow Integration)
A panel that opens inside DaVinci Resolve Studio. It is not an effect and is not in the Effects library.
Plugin or extension?
They install to different folders and show up in different places, so the steps for one will not work for the other.
Plugins (OpenFX)
An effect for DaVinci Resolve. You drag it onto a clip.
Where to find it: Effects library → OpenFX, usually on the Color page.
Helios Grade, Locus
Extensions (Workflow Integration)
A panel that opens inside DaVinci Resolve Studio. It is not an effect and is not in the Effects library.
Where to find it: Workspace → Workflow Integrations. Needs DaVinci Resolve Studio; the free edition does not show extensions.

Choose your product to see where it installs and how to find it once it is in.
Activate
Open the product's Licence section and choose Activate. Your browser opens so you can sign in and approve this computer. Follow the code the product shows.
If it asks you to reconnect, connect to the internet and choose Check activation. Your licence is not lost.
Move to a new computer
Each licence can be active on 3 computers. Deactivate one from your licence page, or replace one while activating the new computer. You do not need the old computer to do it.
